Map of the Soul & the Frequency of Flow

The map of the world is one thing, the map of our soul is entirely another.

The map of the world presumes there is one (right) next destination…and we know what the next destination is with absolute certainty.

The map of the soul, well, it feels more fluid, almost as if there are infinite next destinations…and we don’t need to know precisely which direction to head.  That’s not to say we aren’t sometimes (quite) attached to what we’d like our next destination to be.  Though, isn’t the attachment to what’s next what gets us into trouble sometimes?

So, we work to set down those attachments and we trust our inner guidance system like we trust the voice of the map of the world, and we confidently embrace the directions from our inner guidance system, like we confidently embrace the direction from voice of the map of the world.

When we trust our intuition to navigate our soul map on our behalf, the spiral of trust and confidence begins to pulse, and the resulting oscillations fling the door to flow wide open.  In flow, we have unfettered access to our soul’s map.  The map is in us, in our blood, in our bones, in our cells, in our heart.  Our bodies do a truly remarkable job of processing all the twists and turns taken on our journey.  They generously carry the torch, providing route guidance in and amongst it all.  And with the connection of our intuition and our soul map well rooted, the legion of waiting, wonderous adventures rise up.  Detours become a thing we look forward to, not something we dread.  Who knows what magic we may stumble upon?  The conveyor belt of delays which we may have once perceived as an annoyance, becomes a respite we savor.  Who knows what inspiration may befall us in the stillness?  After all, flow and alchemy are kindred spirits.

When we don’t trust our intuition to captain the ship, things can get a little dicey.  We can wind up with a front row seat to a state of dis-flow.  Still, this front row seat comes with a silver lining…a beautiful magnifying glass.

Flow, physically and energetically, may seem a guarantee.  But guarantees, they do not happen in a void.  Guarantees are more of a pledge, a promise, a vow.  Guarantees have duality.  They ask for a connectedness.  We are not passive participants in flow.  Yet, being an active participant does not predicate a position of command or control.  Being an active participant requires radical honesty around the patterns and habits we employ to restrict flow.  Bottling up anger, restricts flow.  Gripping the reins of control, restricts flow.  Refusing to forgive (yourself or anyone else), restricts flow.  The experience of dis-flow may bring forward deep sadness, a sense of not knowing yourself, of not trusting yourself, of feeling altogether disconnected.  Which makes sense – because flow reminds us of our wholeness, of our connectedness.  Without it, it feels a bit it like walking a tightrope high above the ground without any support cables or a net below.

And yet, dis-flow remains in service to flow, acting as a sort of uncongested highway to the fullest expressions of flow, if we are willing to take the off-ramps to presence and truth.  Yes, life can exist in dis-flow, but life rises in flow.
